Baritone Guitar
The baritone guitar is a little different from the standard guitar, in the sense that it has a larger body with a longer scale length that allows it to be tuned to a lower range.
The baritone guitar was first used for classical music, a genre which is well-loved by only few sectors, which explains why the baritone guitar was never manufactured in large volumes. At present, the sound of the baritone guitar still fits certain genres, but it's still good to hear its distinct sound.
The first company that manufactured the electric baritone guitar in the late 1950’s is the Danelectro. In the 1960’s, the lead was followed by companies such as Gretsch, Fender, Gibson (EB-6), Danelectro, Jerry Jones, Burns London and many other companies.
